@joe_mama69 I think the main reason is because as the soldier said \"He was hiding his true strength\" So I suppose they thought a decent amount of soldiers would be able to subdue or capture him. \n\nThat or the author just needed him to develop the plot in the future.

we still at chapter 50 ish, of course they will not just kill ed like that, still need him to thicken the plot more, just keep dragging and twisting it until it will reach a point where it almost kinda not making any sense and the fact that this is regression type mc, best believe they will do anything to keep twisting every plot twist it run more longer, as for me idrc as long as it make sense

I know it's because we need the plot to progress but I would have appreciated a heavy hitter coming back missing an eye or something I get it he was hiding his strength but he is still a power house of the family atleast send someone at his presumed level plus the fodder
